Privlaka is a peaceful fishing and tourist village in Northern Dalmatia, located on a large flat peninsula approximately 18 km northwest of Zadar and 5 km from the historic town of Nin. It is especially popular among families with small children thanks to its many sandy beaches and very shallow sea.

Best beaches in Privlaka and surroundings

Unlike most of the rocky Croatian coastline, Privlaka is known for its soft sand and warmer water.

Plaža Mostina (750 m)

A beach famous for the presence of healing black mud (peloid), which is believed to help in the treatment of rheumatism and arthritis.

Plaža Mletak Pliša (1,3 km)

A smaller sandy beach with a beautiful panorama, ideal for relaxing away from mass tourism.

Plaža Bilotinjak (2,1 km)

Bilotinjak Beach is one of the most well-known beaches in Croatia thanks to its crystal-clear sea and peaceful environment. It offers views of nearby islands and is suitable for families with children.

Kraljičina plaža - Queen’s Beach (4 km)

A world-famous sandy beach approximately 8 km long, located in the nearby town of Nin (only 4 km from Privlaka), with full sports and restaurant facilities.

Plaža Sabunike (5 km)

A long sandy area connected to the Sabunike part, also popular among windsurfing enthusiasts due to favorable winds.

Sandy Beach Privlaka (7 km)

A beautiful and quiet sandy beach with a beach bar and a very long, safe, and shallow entrance into the sea, ideal for children.

In the surrounding area, you can enjoy fishing, cycling, kitesurfing, or long walks. Nature lovers can visit the national parks Paklenica (55 km) and Krka (90 km).

Historical sites

Privlaka offers a peaceful holiday, but in its close surroundings you will also find great historical and natural attractions. The area is also known for its beautiful and romantic sunsets.

Nin (4 km)

The oldest Croatian royal town, home to the smallest cathedral in the world (Church of the Holy Cross).

Zadar (18 km)

The historical heart of the region, featuring the unique Sea Organ (playing melodies driven by the waves) and the light installation Greeting to the Sun.
